Derek Indoe

Dr Derek Indoe is a fully qualified clinical, forensic educational and counselling psychologist specialising in trauma and personal injury, whilst providing expert witness in the Crown courts on these and other matters. He’s an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and European Accredited EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing) Consultant/Clinical supervisor. He is a Board member of the EMDR Trauma Aid Europe Board and the United Kingdom Psychological Trauma Society. A former chair of the Human rights steering group for the British Psychological Society and representative on the European Federation of Psychological Association, he continues to have a special interest in the trauma associated with climate change, man-made disasters and the implications for indigenous people. In his former role as Lead National Assessor for Forensic Clinical Psychology he gained extensive experience with secure hospitals and prisons. He provides supervision for practitioners treating trauma in the health sector and police service. Dr Indoe has extensive experience in assessing and treating patients for a variety of conditions including adjustment disorder, anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, and dissociation both in the UK and Middle East. He has worked for several years on projects in Turkey and Jordan.
